Mother of the Land

Documentary in preproduction

This film is looking into the nature of spirituality, following the

Pagan Community of the Twin Cities, learning the ways of

honoring the Earth, and all its creatures. Did you know that

the word “pagan” came from the Latin word “pagus,” meaning

“rural district” or “peasant,” i.e. being of the land?

Are you interested in recreating your folk traditions, reconnecting

with the knowledge of your ancestors, or maybe even rewriting your

story? This film may be for you.

Waiting for the Rain

Documentary in postproduction

While on my latest assignment to Peru, I had a chance to explore

a side of Peru that tourists usually do not see: the shamans of the

poor villages that tourists rarely visit,  the largest sombrero in the

world, and the home lives of Peru’s poorest families.

God Bless America

Documentary in postproduction

This short film tells the story of WWII Russian veterans currently living

in Minnesota, and their contributions to history. The story is based on interviews with the soldiers, students, and civilians of WWII Soviet Russia.

Diane

Documentary in preproduction

A feature-length documentary about the life and art of painter and sculptor Diane Riley, formerly known as Vietnam veteran Tim Riley. It touches upon the topics of war, service, family life, personal choices, beliefs, creativity and artistic expression.

Shooting In Clamatore

Documentary in preproduction

Based on interviews with director Wes Tank and cinematographer Kipp Zavada, this “making of” documentary features footage from their beautiful experimental film, In Clamatore.

ONGOING PROJECTS

The 15-minute film Windows and Walls was planned as part of the ongoing series about the lives of immigrants representing different ethnic groups in America. Windows and Walls centers on a story of Russian immigrants. It also serves as an introductory piece, dealing with cultural misunderstanding in general. If you want to be a part of our next film, if you have a great story to share, a script, your acting talent or other resources to contribute, please, let us know.
